TNT opener June 2nd.
Some engine related testing with engine builder
Mike Pettit was in progress. We had a strong run but had
actually slipped some in the power output of the old 73 car. In
our heat we came from deep in the field to pressuring Walt Hovey
for the lead in the closing laps. Walt has been running better
lately. We could not quite get him for the lead...good run for
Walt. PS. Walt was a big help to my team years ago many times
when we were in a pinch for last minute help.
In the feature it was one of those races where traffic just
didn't play into our hands. Wrong lane, wrong move, etc.. We
couldn't quite get by with a few less ponies a few times and
settled for a 5th place finish chasing Glenn Boss to the
checkers. Scott Sundeen motored to his first win of the year.
Keith D. still sorting though some mechanical difficulties....
