Click to enlarge Larry Barnett -  Larry is the owner and driver of the #73 Limited Sportsman.  Larry has been racing since the early 1980's.  He was first introduced to racing by his Uncle Dale Holdridge.  To find out more about Larry check out his History.   Click to enlarge Jim Smith:  Jimmy joined our team during the 2002 season.  Jimmy works on the car during the week and provides race day track support including keeping Larry organized.   Click to enlarge Jon Chmura - Jon joined the team during the winter of 2002.  Jon works on the car during the week and comes to the track every week.  He also updates the website each week.   Click to enlarge Wayne Wildermuth -  Wayne joined us late in the '99 season.  Wayne provides race day track support and works on the car during the week whenever possible. Click to enlarge Ron Smith - Ron joined us in 2005.  Ron makes it to the track when his work schedule allows, He does our special projects around the shop, and is also our Marketing expert.   Click to enlarge Michelle Barnett -  Michelle is Larry's oldest daughter and since 2002 has really "joined" the race team.  Every week she helps by packing food and drinks, and also tapes all the races.  You may recognize Michelle if you get tires for your team as she helps there each week before the heats and features begin.   Click to enlarge                                                                 Click to enlarge Baxter -  Baxter is Michelle's "lion" that often is downstairs helping on the car.  When he isn't busy keeping the racing seat warm, he likes to check out everything under the car and keeps messes under control, with kitty litter...of course.   Click to enlarge Jenny Barnett -  Jenny, Larry's other daughter, makes it to races when she can.  Therefore, her most important job takes place at home.  She is in charge of letting the crew downstairs know that "it smells"  either verbally it or by slamming the basement door shut...but then it really smells later when the cats can't make it to the kitty litter.   Click to enlarge Mike Pettit -  (and the lovely Shannon) We are pleased and excited to be running a "Pettit Powered" engine again in 2005.  We ran a Pettit engine for the first time in 2001 and were extremely successful.  Mike is one of the top engine builders in New England, building engines for many top race teams including Teddy Christopher.  Pettit power still remains under our hood this season and we hope to continue to Dominate!     YOU!! - Can you time a car?  Can you turn a wrench?  There are many aspects of a racing team.  If you would like to join our team, no matter what your talents, we have a spot for you!  Give us an email at Barnettracing@comcast.net or stop by our pit on race day and join the fun!
